Quantum-Resilient Data Protection

Data stolen today can be decrypted tomorrow. Harden it now.

Quantum computers are expected to break the encryption most businesses use today to exchange keys and sign data. Attackers can steal encrypted data now and decrypt it later, so data that must stay confidential for years is already exposed.

We hold our own systems to the same standard we recommend: we run our own playbook.

We defend against that threat in five steps

  1. Classify the data

What the business cannot afford to lose, and how long each type must stay confidential.

  2. Inventory the encryption

Where data lives (including backups, archives, and old mailboxes), how it moves, and what protects it.

  3. Measure exposure and prioritize

A ranked list of what to harden first.

  4. Implement encryption

Move key exchange and signatures to NIST’s post-quantum standards (ML-KEM, ML-DSA) or hybrid schemes, and harden data at rest.

  5. Stay agile

Monitor standards changes, vendors’ post-quantum roadmaps, and conversion progress.
